HOW TO APPLY FOR COUNTY EMPLOYMENT
Applicants are welcome to apply for current job postings and future consideration. To be considered for employment with Lorain County, an Application for County Employment must be fully completed and submitted for each position.
Resumes may be submitted with application materials, but are not considered a substitution for a fully completed job application form. Applicants may also include copies of any required documents (licenses, certificates, degrees or transcripts). The Ohio Public Employment Declaration should also be sent with all applications.
To submit your application online, your computer must have a default email account selected...
- To set-up a default email account on your PC, access your system "Control Panel" and select the folder for "Internet Options". In the "Internet Properties" dialog box, find the section for "Internet programs". In the "Email" pull-down menu, choose the default email service you want to use and click "Apply".
- To set-up a default email account on your Mac, access your "Mail Application" and select "Preferences". In the dialog box for "System Preferences" select the "General" tab. In the "Default Email Reader" pull-down menu, choose "Select", browse to the email client application you want to use, highlight it and click "Select".
If you continue to experience technical difficulties or error messages when trying to fill out or submit the online form, make sure all fields are filled out properly and keep clicking the "Ok" button.
