The Lorain County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for the position of Youth Program Manager within the Lorain County Workforce Development Agency.

The successful candidate will work closely with youth ages 14-21, working toward educational and employment goals. The candidate will collaborate with service providers, educators and community agencies serving the needs of at-risk youth, will utilize advanced knowledge of rules and regulations in order to make informed decisions that impact participant eligibility, vendor selection and program outcomes. The Youth Program Manager will supervise and train all Youth Development staff.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or the equivalent combination of post-secondary education and related experience. Knowledge of federally funded programs such as, but not limited to, the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is preferred. Excellent computer, oral and written skills (including public speaking) are required.
