Conference Room Reservation Information
Lorain County Transportation & Community Center
For individual groups of up to 58 people, the Lorain County Transportation & Community Center features three conference rooms - 1) The Lakeshore Limited, 2) The Capitol Limited and 3) The Empire. These rooms have been appropriately named after passenger rail lines. Conference rooms can be used separately or together to accommodate seminars, webinars, business meetings, breakout sessions, focus and/or discussion groups. Each room has access to video conferencing and WiFi.
Unique Conference Room Features
- Our flexible furniture system allows for a variety of room set-ups.
- Break-out Rooms in the facility are specifically designed for negotiations.
- Situation rooms in the facility are specifically designed for negotiations.
- Individually controlled room lighting is available.
- Presentation tools such as flip charts and marker boards are available.
- Phone Conferencing is available.
- Portable Video Conferencing is available.
- WiFi Internet Access is available.
How to Reserve Conference Rooms
To reserve one/more of the conference rooms below, please feel free to Request a Reservation Online. Please note that the Commissioners cannot guarantee that some meeting rooms are not already booked.
LCT&CC Conference Room Descriptions / Configurations
1) THE LAKESHORE LIMITED
Mezzanine Room 128
684 Square feet
 The Lakeshore Limited can accommodate up to 20 people and can be configured to best suit your needs. The Flexible furniture system allows for a variety of room set-ups. A wall of windows on the south side opens the space to the outdoors.
2) THE CAPITOL LIMITED
2nd Floor Room # 206
628 Square Feet
 The Capitol Limited accommodates up to 24 people and can be configured to best suit your needs. The flexible furniture system allows for a variety of room set-ups and a convenient lobby used for a coffee station. This room is located on the second floor of this historic building and features windows on both the north and south walls. The north-facing windows overlook the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.
3) THE EMPIRE
2nd Floor Room #204
608 Square feet
 The Empire accommodates up to 14 people and is designed for intimate groups. It is furnished with lounge seating and high top tables to encourage casual discussion. The seating area is adjacent to windows on the south side, opening up the space. This unique space is similar to a café atmosphere for breakout sessions or focus groups.
