2nd Annual Photo Contest
Theme - Lorain County Lighting

Congratulations to the winners of the 2011 Lorain County Photo Contest! 

These photos will be featured on this website. The Grand Prize winner will receive a trophy, and the winners for the four remaining contest categories will receive a commemorative plaque. These awards were exclusively sponsored by Gold Star Awards, located in Downtown Elyria, Ohio.
 

 
GRAND PRIZE


The Grand Prize is awarded to Daniel Ketcham for his capture of fog at the Lakeview Park Memorial.


 
1st PRIZE IN LANDSCAPES

The winner of 1st Prize in Landscapes is awarded to Robert Bodnar for his spectular sunset of the Lorain Lighthouse.

 
1st PRIZE IN NATURE

The winner of 1st Prize in Nature is awarded to Brooke Suraba for her panoramic photo of ice formations on the shore of Lake Erie.

 
1st PRIZE IN ANIMALS

The winner of 1st Prize in Animals is awarded to Robert Bodnar for his portrait of a Marine Corps' bulldog at the Doggy Doo Festival in Oberlin, Ohio.

 
1st PRIZE IN PEOPLE

The winner of 1st Prize in People is awarded to Michelle Murphy for capturing the memory of frog hunting, on Murphy’s Pond in Columbia Station, Ohio.


 
All photos used on this site will give due Photo Credit to the photographer. Additional contest entries may also be chosen to appear in the Slideshow and Image Gallery of LorainCounty.Us.

Thank you again to all that participated in the second Photo Contest for Lorain County. Although we have no plans for a future contest, we encourage you to continue taking photographs that showcase the “quality of life” in Lorain County.
