Contractor Registration Fee Schedule
Provided by the Lorain County Building Department
The following fees shall be collected by the Building Department for registration of contractors:
General Residential Building Contractor
Initial Fee - $130.00
Annual renewal fee - $105.00
Other Contractor
Initial Fee - $130.00
Annual renewal fee - $105.00
Master Plumbing Contractor
Initial Fee - $130.00
Annual renewal fee - $105.00
Electrical Contractor
Initial Fee - $130.00
Annual renewal fee - $105.00
Heating Contractors (HVAC)
Initial Fee - $130.00
Annual renewal fee - $105.00
The applicant shall be a licensed contractor with the state or in an approved municipality or village of Lorain County. Applicant shall show proof of valid license upon registration with the County. Applicants shall register at the Lorain County Building Department. The licensed contractor is required to carry a Bond Fee of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000).
