Allen Memorial Art Museum
The Art Museum believes that the study and appreciation of high quality original works of art is an indispensable part of an excellent liberal arts education. As a volunteer, you will be a stakeholder in the organization, and engage directly in the museum's person-to-person interaction.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
Lorain County EMA & Homeland Security provides free training and educational resources through FEMA's Emergency Management Institute (EMI). EMI offers more than fifty self-paced independent study courses designed for the general public, or for people who have emergency management responsibilities. All students who score 75 percent or better will be issued a certificate of achievement from EMI.
Family Promise of Lorain County
Promise of Lorain County, Inc. is here to help address the needs of homeless families in Lorain County providing shelter, meals, and support services to families without homes. Family Promise volunteers can serve at the Day Center in Elyria for as little as two hours a week. Volunteers can join Fund Development, Human Resources, Finance, Public Relations or a subcommittee for a specific fundraiser.
Friends of Metro Parks in Lorain County
The Friends of Metro Parks in Lorain County, Inc. is an independent, non-profit organization that supports the Lorain County Metro Parks. Members are provided opportunities in volunteering, education and social activities.
Guiding Eyes for the Blind
Help change a blind person's life forever! There is a wonderful opportunity to make an incredible difference in the life of a blind person: Raise a puppy for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a non-profit guide dog school.
Leadership Lorain County
Leadership Lorain County (LLC) facilitates both future and current leaders in the area. LLC has several youth programs that not only prepares them for their work in the future, but also teams them up with local nonprofit organizations to volunteer their time and effort to make the county a better place to live.
Lorain County American Red Cross
As the largest humanitarian organization in the United States, the American Red Cross depends on volunteers to accomplish the organization's mission: providing relief to victims of disasters and helping people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
Lorain County Dog Kennel
If you have some free time to spare and love animals, helping our homeless canines can be a rewarding experience. Dog Kennel volunteers will spend time grooming and exercising dogs that have been neglected, and help each one find a loving home.
Lorain County Habitat for Humanity
Lorain County Habitat for Humanity (H4H) seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness throughout Lorain County. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds simple, decent houses with the help of homeowner families.

The Pet Network is a comprehensive directory of pet related businesses, services and information designed to help keep companion pets healthy and happy.
Lorain County Pride Day
Pride Day is an annual clean-up, fix-up, spruce-up county wide event, making Lorain County a cleaner, greener place to live. More than 2,400 volunteers in 21 communities will sweep, rake, weed, mulch, plant and paint in parks and other public areas. Volunteer to help make Lorain County clean and green.
Lorain County Rape Crisis
The Rape Crisis Program provides support and advocacy on a 24-hour a day basis to survivors of all forms of sexual assault. Furthermore, we will assist survivors with all aspects of the aftermath of assault.
Lorain County RSVP Program
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) helps individuals age 55 and older put their skills and life experience to work for their communities. RSVP volunteers can serve from a few hours a week to many hours a month. However they choose to serve, RSVP volunteers meet community needs and make a lasting difference.
Lorain County Urban League
The Urban League empowers African Americans and all disadvantaged persons in our community to participate equally in the educational, economic and social mainstream. Lots of opportunities to volunteer exist - you can mentor or tutor a young person, help out around the office or assist our staff as a member of our Membership Drive Team.
Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio
Volunteers play an essential role in the operations of Second Harvest. Without the support of volunteers, non-profit operations across the country couldn’t function. It’s an important way for those more fortunate to give back to their community for the benefit of all involved. Second Harvest has many opportunities for both groups and individuals.
United Way of Greater Lorain County
United Way creates opportunities by bringing lasting, positive change to our region and focusing on the building blocks for a good life. Locally, United Way of Greater Lorain County focuses on the community impact areas of: Strengthening Families, Nurturing Children & Youth, and Caring for Basic Needs.
Volunteer Guardianship Program of Lorain County
The Volunteer Gaurdianship Program's mission is to enhance the quality of life of indigent, incompetent, older adults in Lorain County by providing trained, qualified volunteer legal guardians to serve as concerned, caring advocates and surrogate decision makers when no less restrictive alternative to guardianship is available.
