Supervisor of the Charles Berry Bascule Bridge
Stan Koziura

Stan was born and raised in Lorain, Ohio and graduated from Admiral King High School in 1965. After graduation he was employed for a brief time with US Steel, up until he was drafted in the US army November 2, 1966; serving 2 years of active duty, including a 1 year tour of duty in Viet-Nam (April 1967-1968) as a combat Engineer. He was honorably discharged Nov 1 1968 and regained his employment with US Steel in 1969.

In 1970, he qualified for an electrical apprentice. Stan received his Journeyman status after four and a half years, and at this time he held an electrical contractors license in the city of Lorain. His employment with US Steel continued until April 1981.

In September 1981 Stan was hired by the County Commissioners as a journeyman electrician at the Charles Berry Bridge. In 1988, Stan participated in the G.E. Drive school. In 1990, the County Commissioners appointed him to his present position of Assistant Superintendent at the Charles Berry Bridge.
