Building Permit Fee Schedule
The following fees shall be collected by the Building Department for construction permits for new residential buildings and additions to residential buildings, three families or less, per dwelling unit:
- Under 1000 sf: $31.00 per 100 sf or fraction thereof
- 1000 sf - 5000 sf: $360.00 plus an additional $150.00 deposit*
- Over 5000 sf: $360.00 plus $75.00 per 1000 sf or fraction; thereof over 5000 sf plus an additional $150.00 deposit*
*If a new dwelling or an addition over 1000 sf is used or occupied prior to issuance of a temporary or permanent certificate of occupancy, the total deposit shall be forfeited.
NOTE: Building area shall include all areas under roof on each story and includes basements, attached garages and porches.
The following fees shall be collected by the Building Department for each permit issued:
- Plumbing Fee: $105.00
- Electrical Fee: $127.50
- Mechanical (HVAC): $127.50
- Plan Exam Fee: $36.00
- Occupancy Fee: $52.00
- General Inspection Fee: $52.00
- Reinspection Fee: $37.00
- Temporary Electric Service: $52.00
General Inspection Fees shall be paid at the Building Department prior to inspection.
If a Reinspection is required due to the failure of the applicant or contractor to have the work ready for inspection when so reported, or by reason of faulty, improper installations, such person shall pay a penalty fee of twenty-seven dollars ($27.00) for the second Reinspection and each subsequent Reinspection.
