Distance Learning Center
of the Growth Partnership's Fifth Floor
The Learning Center Office is open during the following hours:
- Monday - 12:00 to 5:00 pm
- Tuesday - 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Wednesday - 12:00 to 5:00 pm
- Thursday - 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
- Friday - 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Lorain County Community College opened the Learning Center in 2007. It is part of the Lorain County Growth Partnership.
The Growth Partnership Learning Center is housed in Downtown Elyria on the Fifth Floor of the Lorain County Administration Building, located at 226 Middle Avenue, Elyria, OH 44035 - found on the corner of Middle Avenue & 3rd Street. The Learning Center offers an open computer lab, available classroom space, and a small lounge.

AVAILABLE TECHNOLOGY
Multipurpose Computer Lab - Room 560
The Learning Center has a 24 station computer lab that is open to the public Monday thru Friday. This lap can be used for job hunters, students and the community.
- The lab has printing capabilities. We have no time limits or waiting for computers (There is no copy machine available or fax machine).
- The lap can be reserved by organization to use for employee training and presentations that require attendees to follow along on workstations. For more information, please call the GPLC at (440) 328-2373.

Interactive Video Distance Learning - Room 555
What is IVDL, or Interactive Video Distance Learning? It is a live broadcast from one location to another that allows both users to interact in real time.
The IVDL room doubles as a classroom and meeting or presentation space it is available for reservation by any organization or group. IVDL technology can be used for to connect to any location in the world that has IVDL technology. Examples include business to business, educational presentations for school children and travel or education presentations for church and or youth groups.
This technology is open to the local organization to use free of charge.
If you have an idea or know of a IVDL connection from anywhere around the world that you think would be of interest or that you would like to connect to please feel free to contact us. Some ideas include classroom education programs, senior citizen travel groups, business communications, interviewing prospective employees from out of town.
