Lorain County Commissioners Announce Major Nature-Based Infrastructure Project

Private-Public Partnership Brings $3 Million in Funding to Transform 59 Acres into Vital Wetland and Habitat Restoration Site.

Lorain County, Ohio– The Lorain County Commissioners are pleased to announce the approval of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Lorain County and Beckett Thermal, marking the final piece of funding for a groundbreaking nature-based infrastructure project that will drive sustainable growth and significantly improve the region’s stormwater management capabilities. The MOU was officially signed on Friday, March 14, and is a significant step in bringing the project to life.

Ditch Viewings and Hearings

The Board of Commissioners will schedule ditch petition viewings and hearings on specific dates and times.  Ditch viewing will be on Mondays at 4:30pm and ditch hearings will be on Tuesdays at 4:30pm.

Property owners within the benefit area will receive a letter in the mail with more details.
